In the end it may be good that there is only a few providers that trust each others and exchange messages between each others, I don’t believe in the possibility of hosting your email self anymore, but there should be a group/consortium of companies/groups that promise to deliver the messages in between and that you can be kicked out off, with more transparency than this cloudy stuff that people are doing now!
